This Privacy Policy explains how Ancestral Secret VR (the “App” or “Content”) handles information when distributed through the Meta Horizon platform (including Meta Quest and the Meta Horizon Store). This policy is intended to be consistent with Meta’s Developer Data Use Policy and applicable privacy and data protection laws.
1) Scope and relationship to Meta
This policy covers the data practices of Galgo Storytelling for Ancestral Secret VR.
Meta may collect and process information independently through its platform, device operating system, account services, store operations, and system features (e.g., device diagnostics, platform safety, purchases). That processing is governed by Meta’s own policies and user settings. This policy does not replace Meta’s policies.
2) Our core principle: we do not store user data
Ancestral Secret VR does not store any user data.
In addition, Galgo Storytelling does not operate any backend systems for this App that receive or store user data.
We do not:
- create user accounts inside the App,
- store gameplay/experience logs,
- store analytics events,
- store hand/body tracking data,
- store images, audio, or microphone recordings,
- store device identifiers or persistent identifiers.
3) What data the App uses in real time (on-device) and what we do NOT collect
To function, VR apps may use on-device runtime inputs (for example head pose, controllers, or hand tracking) as transient input signals. If Ancestral Secret VR uses such inputs, it is only to enable real-time interaction and rendering on the device.
We do not collect, log, transmit, or store any of these signals, including any abstracted hand/body tracking data, gesture data, or joint positions, and we do not send them to servers or third parties.
4) Data we collect
We do not collect personal data through the App.
This includes, without limitation:
- name, email, phone number, profile information,
- Meta user IDs, usernames, profile pictures,
- access tokens, app secrets,
- precise location,
- biometric, health, or sensitive attributes,
- camera images or microphone audio from the device,
- contacts,
- IP address via our own servers (we do not run servers for this App).
5) Advertising ID and ads
Ancestral Secret VR does not show ads and does not access or use the Advertising ID.
We do not use the Advertising ID for any purpose, and we do not attempt to circumvent user Advertising ID settings.
6) Permitted uses (if data were ever introduced)
Meta’s policy allows use of User Data only for limited purposes (e.g., running/maintaining the content, aggregated de-identified analytics, legal compliance). Because we do not collect or store User Data, these uses are currently not applicable.If we ever introduce any feature that requires collecting or processing data (for example, subscriptions, leaderboards, cloud saves, or analytics), we will:
- update this Privacy Policy before deployment,
- clearly describe what data is collected and why,
- rely on an appropriate legal basis and obtain required user permissions/consents, and
- process data only as permitted by Meta policy and applicable law.
7) Prohibited uses (our commitments)
Consistent with Meta’s Developer Data Use Policy, we do not and will not:
- use user data for marketing or advertising beyond what Meta permits,
- sell, license, rent, lend, or purchase user data,
- use user data for surveillance or law-enforcement/intelligence purposes,
- attempt to identify individuals using AI/biometric techniques,
- combine user data with other third-party data except where explicitly permitted,
- attempt to re-identify, de-anonymize, reverse engineer, or circumvent protections,
- collect user data using automated scraping/harvesting methods,
- use persistent device identifiers for advertising or to uniquely identify users/devices (except where Meta policy explicitly allows for a specific use case).
8) Sharing user data
Because we do not collect or store user data through the App, we do not share user data with:
- advertisers,
- analytics providers,
- data brokers,
- third-party services.
If we ever use service providers in a way that involves user data, we will ensure written agreements are in place that:
- limit processing to services performed on our behalf,
- require confidentiality and security,
- require deletion when services end,
- prohibit use for the provider’s own purposes,
as required by Meta policy and applicable law.
9) Data retention
No retention: we do not retain user data from the App because we do not collect or store it.
10) User requests: deletion and correction
Meta requires an easily accessible way for users to request deletion/correction of their data.
Because Ancestral Secret VR does not store user data from the App experience, there is typically no in-app data for us to correct or delete. However, we still provide a clear method for privacy requests:

Please include the details of your request.
If your request relates to support communications you sent us (emails), we will delete those communications from our records to the extent technically feasible and legally permitted.
11) Security & vulnerability reporting
We maintain reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of our operations. If you believe you found a security issue or vulnerability:

We will review and address credible reports in a timely manner.
12) Children’s privacy
Ancestral Secret VR is not intended to collect personal information from children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data through the App. If a child contacts us via email support and you want that communication removed, contact us using the method in Section 10.
13) International transfers
We do not transfer user data internationally from the App experience because we do not collect or store user data through the App. Support emails may be handled through email infrastructure that can operate across regions.
14) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes or platform/legal requirements. We will post updates at the same URL and revise the “Last updated” date.
